CORTNEY SMITH – President and CEO
Mr. Cortney L. Smith began his China experience in 1985 and has over
20 years expertise in operating and establishing businesses in Greater
China and Asia. Educated at BYU in Asian studies and fluent in Mandarin,
Mr. Smith quickly engaged in trade and manufacturing while living in Taiwan and later moved to China. Mr Smith completed numerous projects in market entry, construction/engineering, new product development and Joint Venture consulting for many international companies including Budweiser, China National Sports Bureau, Channel V (Hong Kong), Coca Cola, Formosa Plastic (Taiwan), Kleenex, Levi Strauss, Lipton, Makro (Germany), MTV, Pepsi, President (Taiwan), and Shanghai Stadium. He, in-turn, used his skills and experience to begin helping other US companies achieve their objectives in China within the “Buy, Build or Sell’ strategies he perfected over 20 years. Mr. Smith personally has supervised over 40 large scale completed projects in China, 6 Joint Venture companies and is well cited in various Asian media outlets. He has been a speaker and presented at many prestigious events, seminars and meetings throughout Asia and the United States. Mr. Smith was also known in Asia as the founding enthusiast of Extreme Sports. Because of this, he was able to produce China’s first “X” Games and built more than 35 extreme parks and bungee towers. In addition, Mr. Smith was invited to co-host the widely popular Extreme Game TV for five years in Taiwan. This experience in procurement and delivering large turn-key projects served as a template for U.S. consulting services to access Asian markets. |

REMY LIANG – COO
Remy has over 15 years of import/export, joint venture consulting and
negotiation experience in China and the surrounding region. She has cooperated with some of Asia’s largest multi-national corporations including, Budweiser, China National Sports Bureau, Channel V (Hong Kong), Coca Cola, Formosa Plastic (Taiwan), Kleenex, Levi Strauss, Lipton, Makro (Germany), MTV, Pepsi, President (Taiwan), Reebok and Shanghai Stadium. |

ANNETTE KOHBERGER – Executive Assistant
Prior to joining EWB, Annette worked in various industries including Government, Non Profit, Heath / Fitness and Outdoor Advertising. She has held such positions as Manager, Administrative and Executive Assistant, Account Executive, and Vice President for the Chamber of Commerce. Annette has pursued studies in Business and Criminal Justice at New Mexico State University and the Community College of Southern Nevada. Her professional background spans over 22 years experience in Administration, Sales and Management. |

Thomas E. Walsh, Jr. – Director of International Sales
Tom is a highly experienced executive with extensive management and
administrative background. After 35 years in the Asia-Pacific Duty Free sales and marketing industry representing luxury designer goods and and distribution of international designer brands and luxury goods to Japanese and international travelers, he returned to the U.S. He represented Gucci Timepieces for over 17 years as well as many other well-known designer brands such as Elizabeth Arden, Polo/Ralph Lauren, Rochas, Oscar de la Renta and owner of a Crabtree & Evelyn Franchise. Representation included famous products including: Guylian, Toblerone, Nestle, plus many diverse international companies. His diverse skills include extensive background in computer and technology applications. Management of LAN networks, website development, SEO. Email B2B marketing and proficient in all areas of software including CRM, accounting, database, presentation, graphics and office applications.
Community service includes: Founding Director of Crime Stoppers, Past President of Rotary and the Guam Unit of the American Cancer Society.

Jinny Chen – Project Manager
Jinny specializes in Auditing, Accounting and Financial Analysis. For over 4 years, she has been involved with a research and investment project in China. To date, she has had 4 successful cases, in which 3 of them are with the CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency.) In addition, Jinny has extensive knowledge in dealing with Government Agencies. |

Leo Luo – Government Relations Manager
Leo has many years of Business Negotiation and Project Management experience. He has successfully accomplished more than 50 projects in which each project’s revenue is more than one million dollars. He is very successful at dealing with unexpected and urgent issues, which always results in a win-win for everyone involved. |

Sunny Wang – Sales Executive
Sunny specializes in Sales and Management in our Shanghai office. She
is successful at establishing sales and marketing channels for our East
to West division, in addition to distributing products. She prides herself
in being very organized and detail oriented, which is a trait that helps
her to be so successful. |
